This resource includes a variety of information about New England. Much of the content published on this site is intended to showcase the natural resources and beauty of New England Region.

Included are articles about cities, communities, rural life, food, culture, business, environmental issues, and other subjects.

New England's waterways define much of the region. The abundant fish, shellfish, and marine life of the region have major impacts on cuisine, employment, recreation, and local culture. This project seeks to explore the relationships between the people of New England and the water around them.

In Western New England, natural resources also define local communities. In the Green Mountains, Berkshires, and other areas, geographical features influence recreation, tourism, and other aspects of New England lifestyle.

Agricultural assets are also important in the western part of New England. In Vermont, New Hampshire, and Western Massachusetts, maple forests provide maple syrup. Farmlands produce vegetables, berries, apples, diary products, and other foods that are hallmarks of New England cuisine.
